Muizenberg High School Valentine’s Day 2012

Our school has an annual tradition when it comes to Valentine’s Day. The entire day is a simply celebration of all things love, chocolates, exchanging gifts and cards and the guardians raise funds by buying and delivering roses on behalf of our more romantic students.
We raise funds for local charity and for the Matric Dance at the end of the year. By us paying a certain amount we able to leave our uniforms at home and wear our red and white traditional Valentine clothes. The guardians also organize a special school assembly with performances from our students. Singing, dancing, music and cheering fills the hall making it an exciting and fun-filled day.
The money we collect is shared between the charity, the dance and a chance for one learner in each grade to win five times your money back! Special messages are read out and cards and chocolates are given to those special people for an extra fee as well. All in all, the day is a celebration and a joyous occasion which the entire school waits for every year.
